2006 TASH Conference
November 8-11, 2006
Baltimore, Maryland

Call for Conference Volunteers!

The TASH Annual Conference is already a great value. But if you want to stretch your conference dollars even more, share some of the work with us and we’ll help with some of your expense!

We make it even easier for you to attend the TASH Conference! Just volunteer 7 hours and you’ll receive FREE conference registration (an $84-$429 value depending on your registration category).

When you think TASH conference volunteer, think interesting, stimulating and fun! That’s because many of the conference volunteer assignments involve one-on-one interaction with other attendees, presenters and exhibitors. Whether you volunteer to assist keynote speakers at the General Session, help set up the exhibit hall, or assist attendees in getting registration packets and other handouts, you will enjoy the time that you spend as a TASH conference volunteer.

We have volunteer tasks and times to fit almost any schedule. There are even pre-conference volunteer assignments available in case you arrive in Baltimore a little early.

Don’t delay! Volunteer assignments are made on a first come, first served basis. Volunteer information is available below or call 410-828-8274 to request material by mail.

November 8-11, 2006 ~ Baltimore Convention Center

Link to Assignment Grid

We realize that one of the major attractions of the Annual TASH Conference is the opportunity for attendees to participate in the vast array of sessions of interest to them.  To give attendees greater access to the hundreds of workshops, exhibits, presentations and interactive sessions over the course of this 3-day event, volunteers need work only 7 hours during the conference!  Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis and volunteer slots are sure to fill quickly.

Please note that Tuesday, November 7 is a set-up day only and November 8 is pre-conference.  To sign up, complete the accompanying assignment grid AND a registration form and mail all materials to Priscilla Newton, TASH, 29 West Susquehanna Avenue, Suite 210, Baltimore, MD 21204, or you can fax your completed volunteer material  to (410) 828-6706.

Don’t delay!  There are a limited number of volunteer spaces available.  Once the required number of volunteers have been accepted for a particular assignment, we will not be able to accommodate additional requests for that position.

Instructions

For each day you plan to volunteer, mark a #1 for your first preference on the assignment grid and a #2 for your second preference (in the event your first choice(s) has already been assigned).

Subtotal the preference #1 hours at the bottom of each page.  Then total the preference #1 hours from all pages at the bottom of page 4.  A minimum of 7 volunteer hours is needed to receive complimentary conference registration.

Complete and return to TASH all of the following:

(a)   conference registration form (we can fax or mail a form to you, or a copy can be found on TASH’s web site at  www.tash.org/2006tash/2006registration.pdf; make sure to enter the word “Volunteer” on the line marked “Enter Registration Cost”); and

(b)   the accompanying assignment grid

Note that there is a separate cost for TASH Tech workshops.  Volunteer hours may not be used to offset the cost of any TASH Techs or any other special conference activities or events.

You will receive written confirmation of your acceptance as a volunteer, along with a list of your scheduled volunteer assignments and further instructions regarding when and where to report on your first day as a volunteer.

Every effort will be made to schedule you for your preferred assignment and time block.  If there is a particular assignment you are not comfortable in completing, or your travel plans interfere with volunteering on certain days or times, please state this information on the form.
