Are you interested in becoming a Board Member of the California Chapter of TASH?

We are a diverse volunteer board of people with disabilities, family members, advocates and service providers dedicated to the values of TASH. Cal-TASH currently has openings for new Board members. Interested persons can contact Shirley Rodriguez at SRodri8176@aol.com.

The Cal-TASH Articles and By Laws give detailed responsibilities of Board Members, but in general, "all corporate powers shall be exercised under the ultimate direction of the Board of Directors."

Two important responsibilites:
1. Promote the values of Cal-TASH/TASH in daily actions.
2. Be a member in good standing of TASH.

General expectations:
• attend and participate at board meetings (2-3 a year)
• attend and participate in Board Retreat
• serve on a Board Committee as directed by Board or President
• assist in the planning of the Annual Conference
• carry out assigned duties during the Annual Conference
• present at Annual Conference and/or TASH (if applicable)
• participate in all Cal-TASH conference calls
• respond to emails from board members
• assist as needed at the Summer Symposium (assigned duties)
• represent Cal-TASH in home community and throughout the state as directed by the Board or President, i.e. serve on committees as appointed
• participate and attend fundraisers for Cal-TASH, i.e. raffle prizes
• promote and advertise Cal-TASH events, i.e. through: e-mail, snail mail, phone, announcements, etc.
