Let’s Reach Everyone

Welcome

Your Illinois TASH board appreciates your continued membership and realizes the commitment you have made by becoming a member. As fellow members of this organization, we understand that you all value the community inclusion of all people with disabilities.

However, with busy lives and many responsibilities, many of you may not know exactly how to contribute to this organization. As we try to plan activities and events that will give our membership the opportunity to become involved as advocates, through continued staff development and by taking action, it is apparent that we need to assess our membership. By this we mean to learn more about who makes up our membership in Illinois and what their interests and talents are.

For this reason, we are asking that you now take a few moments to complete a short survey. The information will help us to better serve you as a board.

Click here to take the survey online.

or you can download a copy to print.  (MS Word .doc)

If you have questions regarding the survey and its use, or would like to request it in alternative format, please contact Teresa Garate-Serafini at 312-413-4966.

The Illinois TASH Board is seeking new and better ways to communicate, share information, and keep members informed about upcoming issues, events and alerts. To that end, we have several new initiatives we would like to let you know about.

As a Board, we wanted all of you to have opportunity to know about this benefit of being a member of IL-TASH. For the first period of time, all of you will receive listserve and other communications. However, the listserve is intended as a member benefit so after 6 months we will communicate only with individuals who are current members of the chapter or members of both the chapter and international TASH. Prior to removing anyone from the listserve we will let you know so that you will have an opportunity to join the chapter and continue to receive these important communications about grassroots events and issues.

IL-TASH members are  invited to join our chapter email list serve. This is a moderated list serve. This means that only board members can forward items to it. However, you can forward items to us that you think would be of interest to members of Illinois TASH by sending them as an e-mail attachment to me at: vowen@nl.edu
