What You and Your Family Need to Know to Self-Direct Services and Funding
Who
This
training is for individuals with disabilities and their families and/or supporters who are
interested in self-directing services and learning more about the New Directions Waiver as
a vehicle to accomplish that goal. The New Directions Waiver will open for enrollment in
July of 2005.
Why
The Waiver
is an exciting new initative but you will need to know what it all means to decide if you
want to use the Waiver to take control of and self-direct your service plan, your budget,
and your support services. This 3 hour workshop will give you all the basic information
you need to know, and provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions and share
information.
