Mentorship: Providing
people assistance to make their own decisions while maintaining their
rights.
People
who have difficulty making good decisions often lose their right to make
decisions to a guardian. This
session will discuss mentorship, a voluntary alternative that provides
people the help they need to make their own decisions without losing any
of their rights.
Speakers: Robin Daning

Trusts
As an Alternative to Guardianship
This
session will cover the benefit of Amenities Trusts as an alternative to
guardianship. Using trusts to avoid guardianship is a method to act
in the best interest of the individual, while assuring parents of the
important question of “what will happen when I am gone?”
